Responsive website focused on advancing accessibility for all consumers, including those with disabilities.
The Consumer Council was established in 1985 and is an independent consumer organisation, working to bring about change to benefit Northern Ireland consumers.
The Consumer Council required their new website to be easily accessible to all target audiences, including those with disabilities, with a preference for a content management system that would be easily managed in-house and allow for future growth. Eyekiller created the website using responsive design as this would guarantee that the customer experience was consistent and optimised across all devices.
The redesign and development of the Consumer Council website focused on creating an information hierarchy which would make specific content clearer and easier to access, as well as improving awareness of ongoing campaign and initiatives. Eyekiller worked closely with the Consumer Council to create a design direction that is clean, clear and immediately creates a feeling of confidence and trust that encourages the visitor to explore further. The completed website adheres fully to W3C-WAI Accessibility guidelines.

It was a pleasure working with Eyekiller on the project to redevelop the Consumer Council’s corporate website. From the outset, Eyekiller instilled confidence that they could deliver the outcome we wanted against a tight timetable, with their innovative approach to project management. Throughout the project, we were kept informed of and involved in developments and Eyekiller were extremely responsive to our requirements. We were delighted with the outcome, which is an accessible, well designed and eye-catching website, tested thoroughly with our users with very positive feedback from them.
