With seven campuses across Counties Londonderry and Antrim, Northern Regional College is amongst Northern Ireland's largest academic institutions.
The College's 'Don't Miss Out' campaign is the latest in a series of marketing initiatives aimed at building awareness of NRC and targeted at school students waiting to receive their GCSE results and planning where they are going to continue their education. The purpose of the microsite is to provide a focused end-user experience, away from the main NRC website which can quickly demonstrate why NRC is the ideal educational choice. The design instantly conveys the college's open, friendly and helpful personality, which is reinforced by testimonials from current students and case studies of how others have benefitted from the wide range of courses available. The microsite's navigation helps to guide the visitor towards course opportunities still available. The main 'call to action' is to encourage the prospective student to apply online and this is made readily available within every section of the microsite to maximise conversion rates.
With a young audience, typically between 15 and 18 years old, it was essential that the Don't Miss Out microsite made effective use of the social media platforms most popular with this demographic. The microsite incorporates embedded Youtube video testimonials from students currently enrolled in a wide range of courses and provides links to NRC's Youtube channel, customised Facebook fanpage, Twitter Feed and Blog so the visitor can stay involved and informed.
